The Ancient bosses serve as the "Elders of Terraria" and are reasonably hard to kill. Defeating all will result in getting the Ancient Shard, which can be used to craft The Prophecy. All of these bosses have a Core and a special ability. The ancient bosses are listed below:

- When the last of the Ancient bosses are defeated, a firework will appear in the sky, dropping the Ancient Shard.
